Independent trial status

Playtestr’s engineering and public-download checks are complete at their recorded scope. Independent maintainer adoption, participant-owned CI and voluntary later reuse remain unproven.

Current status#

Further recruitment and outreach are held. This page does not launch a new trial campaign. Historical invitations and operator results remain in the project trial records .

For self-directed evaluation, choose a verified download and read its versioned support boundaries. The current newer prerelease is v0.4.0-rc.3 ; stable v0.1.0 remains available. Use the independently pinned setup action in the CI guide .

Evidence that remains open#

Independent first use, diagnosis effort, participant-owned CI, later voluntary reuse and a human screen-reader session require their own observations. Automated campaigns and operator walkthroughs do not substitute for those results.

Keep evaluation data synthetic or disposable. Playtestr runs explicitly trusted targets with your permissions and is not a sandbox. See compatibility and support before choosing a workflow.
